Copy editors edit articles and social media copy for clarity, grammar, and organization. Preferred qualifications: Previous experience editing articles / papers or currently pursuing a major in English or a communications-related field Time commitment: 2-3 hours per week

Content reviewers review articles for accuracy. This entails reading sources used by the writer and ensuring that the content in the article aligns with conclusions made by the sources. Preferred qualifications: Previous experience writing / editing papers on science and public health topics or currently pursuing a major in a natural science or public health-related field Time commitment: 2-3 hours per week

Social media post designers create designs on Canva summarizing recently published articles to post on Instagram and LinkedIn. Preferred qualifications: Previous experience using Canva to design social media posts; experience designing for LinkedIn and Instagram is a plus Time commitment: 2-3 hours per week

Newsletter designers create email and print newsletter layouts. Preferred qualifications: Previous experience using digital and print newsletter design software (e.g. InDesign, MailChimp, Squarespace, etc.) Time commitment: 3-4 hours every 2 weeks

Social media managers oversee the posting of content on Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. They also respond to direct messages and comments. Preferred qualifications: Previous experience managing social media accounts for a school club or other organization, specifically on Twitter, Instagram, and / or LinkedIn Time commitment: 2-3 hours per week

Publication managers oversee the posting of articles on the Health Empowerment Coalition website and monitor the overall publication workflow from choosing a topic to final review and publication. They communicate with Writers, Copy Editors, and Scientific Reviewers about article status and alignment with the mission of the organization. Preferred qualifications: Previous experience managing a content calendar and online publication; project management or leadership experience; experience with Wix is a plus Time commitment: 3-4 hours per week
